Reid Thompson, Regional Vice President

Reid Thompson is a regional vice president for NorthStar Securities, LLC, (NorthStar) covering southern Virginia, eastern Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. He is responsible for managing NorthStar’s various alternative investment product sales efforts and supporting advisors in his territory.

Reid has more than 11 years of experience selling real estate funds and raising capital for developmental drilling programs. Prior to joining NorthStar, he oversaw external sales as a regional vice president for multiple real estate investment firms. During his tenure with one non-traded REIT firm, he ranked among the top wholesalers in overall sales and generating new business. Reid also worked as an assistant vice president and business development specialist for a real estate investment company prior to his external sales roles.

Reid lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he enjoys golf and volunteering with the Humane Society.

Lou Harris, Senior Regional Sales Consultant

As the key home office contact, Lou Harris is the dedicated regional sales consultant for the Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia team offering service and support to advisors. He brings four years of investment experience to his role and is responsible for providing communication and education on NorthStar’s various alternative investment products while cultivating relationships with advisors.

Prior to joining NorthStar, Lou worked as an active trader broker with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. where he helped clients manage and diversify their portfolios with stocks, options, mutual funds and fixed income products.

Lou and his wife, Stephanie, live in the Denver area with their two sons where they enjoy skiing, camping, biking and hiking. Lou also enjoys brewing beer and woodworking.
